Lions and tigers and ....        CRABS??????   Oh, my!!!!!

spt9907.jpg (17293 bytes)   Yep, it's time for the eating of the crabs, and the drinking of the beer, and the gnawing of the corn, and the chewing of the bright fresh tomatoes that have a burst of flavor that shoots right through your mouth and knocks your head off.

A summertime Maryland tradition: crabs steamed with Old Bay seasoning (an exotic mix of over 20 spices that makes you dream of more whenever you're 50 miles away from Maryland) tossed out over a table covered in newspaper, melted butter and even more Old Bay to dip the crab meat in, fresh ears of white (preferably Silver Queen) sweet corn, fresh sliced tomatoes, and ice cold beer.  And lots of paper towels.  Dinner can last for hours.

And Grandma Kris came to visit!!!!

Everyone wanted a snuggle with Jake (of course), but Jake only wanted Grandpa.

Later came the eating of the ice cream.
